Today, is a new day with new choices! I know this sounds cliché, but it’s truth because of who our God is. Every day God gives us another chance at new choices; even in the midst of past failures.
In the book of Lamentations, we read that Israel was a mess because of her decisions; and yet, a little more than half way through the book Jeremiah writes, “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22-23)
Can I hear from all us being repaired believers an enthusiastic “Amen!” (Feel free to respond with a like or an Amen email.) Each day, because of God’s faithfulness to and mercy toward us, even if we failed yesterday, we get another shot at making better choices to listen and follow Him in this very moment today .
The God we love and serve is a God of hope. Each day, each moment, is a fresh start, if we choose to take that new opportunity. You’re NOT a failure!! You’re a secure child of God, who gives His children fresh opportunities to make the right choice now.
It’s a new day with new choices is another bad cliché only if we let it be.

Believers are broken people who see life through broken lenses. Broken lenses reflect light in different directions depending on the angle of the lens. This is why we need other believers in our lives who, although also see life through broken lenses, will see it a little differently than us.
A friend and I were discussing life situations through the lens of Scripture; and yet, we were bringing up truths from God’s word that challenged the other person’s thinking. Each of us hadn’t seen Scripture quite like what the other person was sharing.
The Word of God is true, period. Yet, until the Spirit completely repairs our brokenness, we will not always be able to see the truths contained in God’s word that will set us free from whatever challenge we face from our angle.
We need the help the other believers in the process of being repaired. Yes, we are saved as individuals, but we walk this journey with Jesus with others. Who helps you see what you need to see to see Jesus more clearly?

Repaired Brokenness
Believers are broken people who see life through broken lenses; and as such, we must walk this journey with Jesus together in humility. As a broken person who reads Scripture through broken lenses, how do we know we have it right?
Yes, we have the Spirit of God to guide us into all truth. And yet, in our state of being repaired, how do we know we’re hearing Him correctly? Our ears are just as broken as our eyes, which means our hearing can be off as well.
The truth is the truth and never changes, but our understanding of it can. Therefore, there have been times I’ve changed my understanding of Scripture based on discussions with fellow believers, who love and are just as committed to Jesus and His Word as I am, as only having and following the truth will set me free.
Thus, lets continue to walk this journey together in complete humility, even with those with whom we may at the moment Scripturally disagree; but, given time, may end up agreeing. And even if we don’t, the world will see Jesus’ love through us as we walk as one (John 17:21).

Better Brides – Guys Too!
No, this title is not a mistake. I was reading Jeremiah when my prayer life was changed forever. The prophet was calling the nation of Israel, God’s bride and wife, back to loving her Husband. Through her worship of various idols, including burning her children to death, she was committing adultery. The Father put up with this for such a long time until He had to finally brokenheartedly say, “It’s Me or the door.” Israel choose the door – twice!
The church is called a bride. In New Testament times, a bride was already married; and, it was considered adultery if either one cheated on the other (Matthew 1).
Latest statistics show that only 9% of those who claim to be secure children of God actually listen to and follow Jesus. Stated another way, 91% of Jesus’ Bride are listening to and following either themselves or the world, both of which are idolatry, and thus, adultery. Are you the part of the 9 or 91%?
Ladies and gentlemen, living as a married single is over. It’s time to choose to be a better bride by being faithful to the One we say we love. We do that each day through each choice to filter life using the FREEdom process to better listen to and follow only Jesus, our loving Husband.

Listen to a Winner
You’ll enjoy what a home schooling dad recently wrote, “I started doing some math every day at the beginning of this year. I wanted to be working alongside the boys, and I thought it would help me understand their reality better if I was doing the same sort of work that they are. Plus, I’ll be their primary mathematics instructor as they progress, and it will be helpful if I go through a refresher on algebra and the like myself.”
What a picture of Jesus! The author of Hebrews wrote, “Therefore He (Jesus) had to be made like His brothers in every respect…for because He himself has suffered when tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted.”
This dad could help his sons because he actually worked and solved each math problem. Jesus can help us because he faced and conquered every challenge we’ll ever face. Jesus walked in your shoes. It now simply comes down to, “Who are we listening to – a loser or a winner?”
